Where in Surrey are  you ?

Purley, top tip!

It's been rubbish here this week - sod all and then rain washed the 0.5mm cover away!

If only! I’ve even been able to see the edge of your band of snow from my top room. ☹️ Even less snow heading east towards Reigate. Snowing a little now in Dorking.

Definitely nothing in Reigate.

I would expect the extra elevation to help and it’s likely to be snow there!

the boundary between rain/sleet and graupel snow seems to be a vertical line from Heathrow through Weybridge, down to Dorking and Horsham.  West of that its snowy east is still a little too warm. Depends how the low moves from here.

Someone please put a bullet in this god awful winter (for SE Essex anyway) not a single dusting and we are now into Feb. Total trash. Great to see a few lucky ones have some snow cover though around the region. Can I borrow some?....happy to pay for a refrigerated truck to collect ??

Heavy sleety stuff coming down in Surbiton now. Re: this coach trip to Basingstoke @weathergeek, cheese and onion crisps for me please. Can I suggest we all club together so @kold weather doesn't pay after his sterling work and life-altering let-down last night?

Yeah, most models sufggest it will move SE eventually as the high pressure cell from the west forces it. The question will then be how well the system holds its intensity once it does start to get forced SE. Still could be a very snowy evening for such of Surry, Hampshire and Sussex even if you guys don't have it yet.

It’s not picking out the snow on the radar here - showing as green/sleet. If this keeps up an easy 15cm could be had.

don't worry, I've got plenty acceptable cover down here now. nothing outstanding like Basingstoke but its good enough for me!

i don't think i've ever seen the radar do as poor as it has the last two days! precip where it's apparently not doing anything, and then no precip where there's big falls of snow

any ideas as to why? very confusing
