Well, I wasn't really expecting this! - here in Tunbridge Wells it's snowing moderately, heavier than last night in fact though I doubt it will settle as the ground is soaking. Sadly I won't be able to lamppost watch as it's PTA Quiz Night at my daughters' school - can't wait!

Have you got snow now?

Hope you have! We deserve it after yesterday nights rubbish!

Light snow now as the main band is just to my NW, but every bit of snow should settle from now on, so it all helps!

We do! But it’s still awkwardly light stuff and would really hope it can pep up even for a half hour or so. Settling though

How’s your neck of the woods getting on? Would expect you to have quite a bit of a covering by now

you must be close to the snow line, it may still change over as the system moves SE over the next 2-3hrs. May not be a huge amount left by that point, but I'd be really sad for you if you were to get nothing, because last night really wasn't great round our area.

Rain here at 1.4c despite radar showing snow.

Tired of this winter now.

Snow line should be creeping westward now the sun is going down, I'd be stunned if SW Surrey doesn't join the snow party soon, if it hasn't already!

Very heavy graupel enough to build up a about half centimetre of slush puppy over everything in Godalming DP 0.6C needs to drop a bit. Not sure where the boundary between the heavy graupel and heavy snow is. Under the green on the radar
