Never mind amber warnings, should be flood warnings, bloody rain has been relentless all day, and its been very heavy rain, which does nothing to lighten my mood, yes I had snow last night, but I still feel let down, just cannot believe how difficult it seems to be to have a decent snow event that can be enjoyed, really thought I'd have a snow day today, but no, along comes a warm sector that decides to make home here in the southeast, bringing along higher dew points and temps, just to spoil it. Curse you weather, you will do as your told

Our time will come, maybe this winter, maybe next. But it will happen

Despite what some have said i swear its not moving SE at all, if anything its going SW as the clear patch has grown to my west here rather than the precipitation got closer...

Looking good on radar now everything turning back to snow as it gets colder 2-5cm I think for people around London and below

I'll hold you to that!

I think I'm starting to see the radar when I'm not even looking at it.

Down to  0.3c and steady snow again, this is looking more promising than last night

All I can see is two bands merging together and stalling ?

Its not so much moving SE as pulsing SE. You can see that one line of snow dies off, then another forms to its SE, and this process is repeating itself over and over again.

However the area is also contracting as the area of higher energy shrinks, as was forecasted by the models.

just seen someone complain on facebook of the lack of the 15+ cm they were apparently promised because it never happened and all the shops ordered in hundreds of sledges that they can't sell anymore

Interesting, you can see a rotation on the radar now, to the east of the IOW

I don't know if I've got the energy for another night of this!!!

Anyway, I'm organising a Netweather SE Regional Thread coach trip to Basingstoke tomorrow, £25 a head, includes a pile of snow each to make one medium snowman and throw 20 snowballs!!!xx
