It's coming down again but it's too wet to settle.

Hi Dave,

Looks like the METO are suggesting a possible Wash Streamer, tonight??

No mention of that in my forecast. I think the southerners took the last of the snow out of this cold spell.

Absolutely pouring with rain now in SW19.

That's me done with snow now for the foreseeable. It's been a big fail this winter.

Back to looking forward to Atlantic storms, gales and rain.I'm glad I like that too.

Proper weather you can rely on and something the forecasters can predict.

Nick F what does that mean for my area?  Is the rain going to continue or turn to snow

Hmm, think it becomes increasingly too marginal the further east you go from a line from say Dartford to Tun Wells looking at current dew points and temps, so you may just stay as rain or sleet unless you have elevation.

yamkin will be out doing a 'live report from shirley, croydon, greater london' but only after he's tweeted the met office to demand they issue a weather warning!

3.7 degrees here in Locksbottom and moderate sleet atm!! Oh joy!! As Nick Sussex said Kent Sussex and Essex got in the "warm zone" and it was goodnight Vienna.Just proves how borderline it all was.As others have said for Kent Sussex Essex and EA to get good snowfalls you really need a good old Easterly or North Easterly as BFTE 2018 proved.

Still really happy for those that got snow and indeed totals out West and North West got more than was forecast so that is good news.Hope it keeps going over there for rest of the morning!!

Not going to lie, very disappointed this morning. Had plenty of snow fall over night in Bexleyheath, but it simply refused to settle (apart from tops of cars and house roofs - maybe that elevation helped ) All melted by this morning!

Nice to see some of us faired better though ☃️

Weather apps are showing snow from early afternoon to 1am. Appreciate that it’ll be too warm to settle but didn’t think it was going to snow at all after this morning

Not strictly true, Brighton on the East Sussex coast had 3 inches from this event.

East Sussex isn’t in the eastern part of the region. It’s bounded by land to the north, east and west.

Once that warm front moved in, dew points rose, and the rain started

If anyone wants a good laugh the Apple weather app has gone completely mental. They are currently forecasting 10 hours of snow for Gillingham from 3pm

One of the worst for model performance  yes,as for weather winter doesn't end till middle of march if we get the right setups

I suspect we’re not done with cold, but I think we’ve extracted all we’re going to get out of this particular cold spell.

Unfortunately the wind direction and placements of the fronts have not been all that great for widespread snowfall.
