4cm of somewhat wet snow that’s melting rapidly here in Woking.

Like a night with Kylie Minogue (or George Clooney, as you prefer) the anticipation was perhaps better than the reality...

A couple of MM last night here in medway. All but melted already. Last night was full of promise again. But was a let down for us again.

Light snownhas just started falling, but will be a short flurry according to the radar.

Heres hoping we we get another shot at the good stuff before the end of the season.

Barely anything here in Ashtead Surrey..... not much more than when I went to bed at 12.30 last night even though I was forecast to have another 4hrs of heavy snow!!! Looks very damp out there and thawing already..... such a let down after all the hype

If EURO4 is right with Hirlam and AROME then a few more Suprises for the western counties today... that front will slowly slip south soon

Can you post the charts please mate?

Clacton.... Wet and soggy, exactly as the short term precip models predicted. Currently on the train to Colchester and the sky is looking increasingly white as I head inland.

Went to bed not expecting anything as thought I was too far north. Woke at 01:20 to see it a snow covering. An unexpected treat!

Snowing again now but looks as though there might also be a very slight thaw. Looking pretty though.

My young lab isn’t sure what to make of it - he’s daintily high-stepping around with exaggerated camp ballerina dramatics.

Brief spell of light snow here in Ipswich  in the early hours but no covering to speak of, in fact it melted what leftover snow there was remaining from the other day! temps and dp were too marginal. That’s still the case the morning. Looks like some people did ok around the region but haven’t seen any decent depths reported (7cm+) so far...

Wintry mix today/this weekend and a few more sliders going forward seems to be the theme... give me a solid ENE any day!

Although its been a disappointing week for many (probably because my expectations were too high). If you'd told me a few weeks ago I'd have 4 days of snow cover in a row I'd have taken that. Granted its snow cover of an inch or less but better than all winter (I'm trying to be positive lol)

We may as well bring on an easterly/north easterly with lots of streamers and then a channel low for good measure -  best chances for the masses

Well that was another bust for Essex! Woke up so the slightest of slight slush deposits on cars only and now it’s pouring with rain

Drove from Maldon to Basildon without seeing anything other than rain with a few flakes mixed in. Unless it’s an easterly it’s just a complete waste of time

This winter promised so much but has been an utter disappointment. Spring & Summer now please!
