You'll be really angry when that hole shrinks to 100 metres!

Ha, its almost down to like 10 miles. If you look at Portsmouth, then track the A3 you'll see a gap inbetween the showers that keeps moving towards me every single time!

its slightly filled in now, but 10 minutes ago it was like a perfect path!

Main roads are pretty clear here, but plenty on pavements etc.

getting heavier just as the traffic volumes drop. really coming down nicely in wokingham now, hopefully we're set up with this for a good few hours

To me certainly seems to be intensifying at the moment in a line actually through the Thames .

Yes I would class it as heavy Mal , I’m just down the road I’m Chessington, but surprised though it doesn’t seem to be settling on some surfaces .

It's settling here so that's good. Starting to settle into the road surface too now so hopefully it will keep going and increase!

Surely that will pivot back to the Croydon area

Yep, I'm hoping south London is the pivot point and we are stuck under a runner of snow all night … no work for me tomorrow too.

Looks like a clearer slot moving up; must be all the anger from @kold weather!

Maybe it'll fill again that it has been doing for the last hour.

it started off promising enough but has quickly turned into another garbage fest, not even a covering here

Ha I'm hoping I just get *something* I think the chances of me getting stuck under a runner here are as high as me learning to fly tomorrow.

11.40pm Kold update - we've got some light snizzle, nothing has settled which is no surprise given how utterly cack the snow has been.

we seem to have the snow gods on our side tonight.... it'll fill or we'll just get more as the front pivots back nw-wards???

My rage is forcing this system further north!

Pressure has risen a little recently, so either its filling in, or it is still moving north. Based con radar returns and the way precip is filling on the back side of the low, I think its still making some northwards progress.

Snow intensity increasing again here on the Sussex coast after a lull earlier.

A great evening's snow and wind. Whatever happens for the rest of the winter at least this a sweet moment.

Getting that bit heavier in NE London. Really liking the radar, it’s intensifying right over London.

Think you may need some rehab tomorrow! Your old haunt in south Essex always does better for snow, you must miss it there for that?

If you do, send some down the M23 to Gatwick. Dewpoints seem to have crept up here too.

I’m done. Would be nice to be surprised at 6am but ain’t feeling it (and we need everything to come together down here). The irritating thing is that my morning train will still be cancelled nonetheless due to the dandruff!

Latest UKMO radar update suggests the whole thing is still lifting northwards, and does actually give my area some moderate snow between 1-2am.

Do I bother staying up? Its all been a total waste of time so far?!

i'd go to bed if i were you
