Had a sugar coating here in locksbottom and a few flakes blowing in the wind.Have looked on the met app since this morning at regular intervals and it has changed 4 or 5 times during the day so given up with that.just saw bbc se news and it had 6 degrees for Orpington tomorrow-really think we will struggle to reach 3 or 4 if snow does fall overnight.looks like staying cold over the weekend with only a slow thaw for those lucky enough to get snow.

good luck to everyone and we can all compare snow depths in the morning

Seems to be pepping up over London now, maybe fed from moisture from the Estuary? Gives a bit more hope for us in N London!

Our cat is chasing snow flakes in the back garden right now, bless him, under the light I put on to watch the snow come down. Only me and him up now to see if anything worthy comes.

Ppn building nicely in the channel over the last ten minutes, looking like we might see some more snow in West Sussex yet!

By the way, good showers blowing up and heading up the A3 direction around the LP as it finally starts to fill in a little and decay. I'm personally not going to see much from them as I'm somehow too far west for the majority of it (WHY does this keep happening!) and too far east for the main cell going through Portsmouth.

Looks like the reason the back edge died was because of the energy transferring to the south into this line of showers developing.

Thank you so much. Can I ask another question??? Your one of my favourite posters in here. People are talking about this blob of snow stalling?? Has the blob pivoted like they said ? I’ve been trying to keep us so much but it’s so hard

Do you think it's the easterly wind that's going to blow this back across us to give heavy snow through the night, as per my forecast for Ashtead Surrey?!

It has been uncanny, that dry slot just won't go away will it. I bet even these showers die as they head our way, such as been our luck tonight.

Dreadful night...truly dreadful for this area!
