Been nervously checking models, forecasts etc for a couple of days and constantly been right on the edge here in North Essex...but looking like it's gonna be a non event for us, just won't get this far. Hope everyone who does well gets a chance to enjoy it.

I am horrified at the abuse that I have received for stating that I study a degree in Met and then referred to as a troll.

I am not a troll. Not everyone responds positively to abuse and stirring.

I have a question, what did you learn on day 1?

Looks like Kent and East Sussex are going to do well out of this, seems to be breaking apart to the south of here as it moves north towards Croydon, typical!

Screenshot of radar at 7.30pm. Now the orange has gone and the yellow is thinning.... not sure it's going to stay as heavy as my forecast says??!!

I thought everyone knew, nothing gets past the Dartford Crossing without sitting there for hours!

Not in the SE but few of my favourite posters are so been in here a lot today to see what they’ve had to say etc. Anyway a couple times Swindon to Reading has been mentioned as the possible sweet spot. I’m in Swindon.

Snow finally started about 30 minutes ago, paths etc all well covered now. Let’s see if this pans out

Best bet is to send a message to the mods and let them sort it out.

I'm wondering too? Somebody in Hythe earlier said it just started to lightly snow so I think the Radar is somewhat off. Here in Thanet... nothing.

Coming down nicely in Folkestone according to friends down there and same for us in Hawkinge. Shame the oranges on the radar couldn’t have made it this far north. Always seems to lose intensity before hitting land. Still happy with what’s falling

Strangely we got the most snow where it was light blue on the radar...

Waiting for a dark blob now to see what that brings

There isn't going to be much more than we already have. If its not doing the job now, its not going to do it full stop. Sorry mate, I did warn people that I was in the screw zone...and by extension you are as well.

Remember, 1cm and I take a trip in my birthday suit into the streets!

Maybe now would be a good time for a truce. There is snow around the region so why not all play nicely!

Hi all, hope everyones having a good evening. Got a light covering here. The front was always forecast to break up as it came north. The thing is that the front is now sat over us. So don't worry so much about what is already on the radar. As is happening now, gaps can fill in with precip where there was non before.

Nice moderate snow here in Haywards Heath for now but looks like we are just too far west to really get in on the act tonight. Nice to see snow falling but not quite all I’d hoped for!

I think it's more that you say you're studying a degree in Meteorology and then fail to understand even the basic of meteorological concepts that's made people be a little critical of the claims..

So is it a bust for East Sussex? I'm getting sooo confused, have been checking the models maniacally and meto app etc, radar been showing pink over us since about 6pm but nothing here til light snizzle about 9pm...Some people saying radar looks awesome, some saying decaying- looks awful

So, is it game over??
