DP crept up while I wasn't looking currently at -0.7c and temp at a solid 2c.

Getting a little close for comfort here.

Sneaky Dew points. Hear you though mate. Worrying....

Not sure thats the end. The back edge is about half an hour from where you are but the low just west of Swanage may well fill in the gap its showing as rain at present but it will most likely change to sleet as it moves in land even snow away from the direct centre.

Not going to happen mate, looks like the low may throw the odd shower up, but then game over and there will be barely a dusting to show for it.

If I do get over 1cm of snow, I'll run around naked in the street screaming "I love snow"....that's how certain I am ;)

9.30 Kold update and....

No snow, not even a flake falling...

The backedge may give 5-10 minutes of moderate snow and then finished.

Agreed its looking pretty dire for us, but good to see the rest of the region getting in on the action, going off the met predictions we could see an inch here, which to be fair is a good result.

Ok turning to snow now and blowing a gale on Hastings seafront. Maybe too late as it will pass in an hour or so it seems and stall inland. Cant see this amounting to much here now. 2cm tops maybe.

Snow is really settling now on paths and grass,  some big flakes more small. I’ve worked out met office radar seems spot on for me

Chin up @kold weather! Maybe you'll be in just the right spot for the pivot and wake up to a surprise!

Seems to be some filling going on just east of Basingstoke. In line for Reading if it keeps intensity.

I'm going to be out of the frontal zone within the hour mate, so won't matter if it pivots because the front is pivoting around the LP which is nearly over my head!! One shower behind the front to look forward too! Epic!

Looks like the high res models were predicting front moving ne and shearing with decent falls e Sussex and Kent and ok to the west of London as the front decays slowly moving north .......Home Counties close to London and north of London not v good

now the metoffice automated has heavy snow developing overnight for me and light snow through tomorrow - I simply don’t believe it

as is the standard instruction on a difficult snow forecast - watch the radar and work out what’s going on ...don’t bother with the apps and models as they are only going to make predictions whereas you can see for yourself how the fronts are behaving

Coming downs finely but realiably here on the western flank. My guess would be 1cm by morning but just nice to see everything white.

First centimetre here but not liking the look of the radar. Nudging east all the time. Pivot please

We probably aren't even getting 1cm, yet alone 1 inch!

Could not have been more poorly positioned for us can it? Maybe a few weak showers coming behind the front around the LP...but even they will probably die off overland.

Everything covered now in Wimbledon after a fairly intense burst of snow. Tapered off now.Hopefully a good base for later. Bitter wind.

If nothing else though I realised just now I need to clean by bloody windows!
