A light dusting now everywhere here in Old Windsor. Can we get more than Beast From The East last year ? ❄️❄️❄️

Dude you've got more then I'm going to get all night!! Make the most of it!

PS- the low is making a bee-line for my location, which is why the band is arching up over Portsmouth, etc and will mean we will be out of the snow before anyone else...without actually having the bleeding snow to start with!

Not happening in our neck of the woods, you do have a better chance though being that bit further north. But yeah, better get used to seeing the green grass tomorrow...or maybe the white snow that could be mistaken for a frost...we are done...stick a fork in it!

Also, note the arch of the LP, that will push the backend through my location soon enough, will be good for a stall over Kent though.

At odds with all forecasts I was seeing earlier but ho hum maybe a flurry in late Feb ?

Just got out of work and honestly haven’t had any chance to catch up , what’s the latest forecast / thinking ?.

Snowing moderately on the chelsea kings road , no settling but you can tell it’s only just started .

Roads and pavements have a covering in our area; some heavy flakes for a while, lighter now but more to come:)

9.30 Kold update and....

No snow, not even a flake falling...

The backedge may give 5-10 minutes of moderate snow and then finished.

Not sure thats the end. The back edge is about half an hour from where you are but the low just west of Swanage may well fill in the gap its showing as rain at present but it will most likely change to sleet as it moves in land even snow away from the direct centre.

Cheers, saves me having to get up and having a look

Am a winter ramsgate newbie. Dad's lived here for years and says here seems to just do it own thing weather wise and it can snow all around and miss ramsgate. Or they get plastered. His words not mine.  My time mainly on here was living in Essex then Hertfordshire so my first Ramsgate winter. Oh by the way am sitting out under the porch typing this  and in the stronger gusts of wind there are the odd blast of something icy almost like a gentle spray. No lighting out back though. Going back indoors to the warmth. And the convenient lampost and house light next door

Chin up @kold weather! Maybe you'll be in just the right spot for the pivot and wake up to a surprise!

Seems to be some filling going on just east of Basingstoke. In line for Reading if it keeps intensity.

Same as here. right on the back edge now though. I think i may be calling it a night and heading for bed, i dont think we will be getting anything more and the misses is tired! Be more than happy to find out i was wrong in the morning but i really think the system has weakened a lot more than it was forecast. Good to meet you anyway buddy. maybe il catch you here the next time something exciting looks to come our way

I'm thinking the same. Way past my bedtime it is. Fingers crossed for the morning. Good to meet and chat to you too. Yes. Defo catch up soon.

DP crept up while I wasn't looking currently at -0.7c and temp at a solid 2c.

Getting a little close for comfort here.

Im just up the road. I think that old adage. too cold to snow may well be true, The cold dry air is drying out the precipitation in the lower cloud levels. as its begins to fall.
