This is weird. Gonna get technical now... The Big orange blob in the channel seems to have reversed direction and is heading inland now towards the Sussex coast! It was going due East right along the channel but it seems has gone in reverse almost.Very light snow looking from my window for the nowcast . looks like its heading inland

Christ. Watching that radar is like pulling teeth! Just melts away mid channel, reminds me of watching imported storms in the summer!

Seems to be dying out as it makes landfall which was not expect special southeast corner

Went outside. Not a flake. Radar suggests otherwise that it should be snowing enough to notice! Someone reporting almost blizzard like conditions in Brighton on UKsnowmap... giving a 7/10... whaaaaaaat.

Wouldn't worry about the gap, it will move through and get replaced by the snow over Brighton.

ONLY worry if your on the western edge of that gap, because the preicp coming up over Sussex won't make it this far west due to the location of the low system and the way the low is rotating.

Genuine chance I might get just a dusting from this. May have to travel tomorrow to find some decent snow cover!!

Strangely calm and not particularly cold in SE12.

I know what's coming but it doesn't feel like it.

Certainly beginning to look good for us!! I had to drive into Dorking at about half 3 this afternoon. The lying snow from Tuesday petered out just outside westcott... But was flipping cold, never got over 2 in either direction

Hello to fellow Dorkinians. Yes, good to be in on the action this evening!

I keep looking at all the different radars and hoping it gets here soon.

What's my chances like here?  Met office keep pushing the time further. Was 9pm now close to midnight

If its close to their "Further Outlook" It should arrive some time in April.

I am confused .  All the radars I’m looking at are different, netweather tell me it’s all nearly over. Met office tells me it hasn’t really begun and another is all over the place. Can anyone explain that to me please @Steve Murr @kold weather which is the closest???

The shortwave in the Channel is expected to move more ne for a time , at the same time the low starts to pivot , this will then bring the heavier precip with it .Still a few hours to go before that arrives .
