Ah, you are just under five miles away (and over 100 metres up) from me - I hope you do well out of this!

Nothing much yet

Temp steady at 0.9 dp -2. Dry. Cloudbase has lowered in past half hour. Much more of a reflective orange than earlier!

Now that comes from a man who is not only a weather buff but also realistic when it comes to Britain's winters and he lives in France!...I will firmly take that as positive coming from Nick!...I'll hold you to account if it's all grass and tarmac tomorrow though  I doth my cap in your general direction.

Thanks .  So you’re in Burnham at the moment . Or Norfolk ?

Is that the Burnham in Somerset, haven’t you had snow already . If you’re in Norfolk it’s a bit of a tall order with the set up overnight to get a lot there .

Still snowing lightly here, and the great thing about having the dry cold in first, is that not a single flake is wasted. Everything that comes down is still out there somewhere

In terms of what you see with a deep cold easterly in terms of convection . There’s not that level of cold and the cloud cover associated with the front will subdue that , but the estuary could provide some extra energy to the occlusion itself .

Certainly signs of that already with precip now heading inland towards colchester ahead of the main front

Snow in Dorking. I repeat snow in Dorking

It’s not actually falling, just whirling around in the wind...

Hopefully we all will, but at the moment it seems reminiscent of last march.... The Surrey Hills seemed to miss the worst!

Wind picking up also - We have some decent elevation here so I just hope it doesn’t swizzle before it gets to me...

I think  it's swizzled before it even got to me lol.

As @kold weather patiently explained earlier, the system is shearing ENE and PPN streaming WNW.
