Steady 1,8 and has been for several hours now, DP -0.9, wind is running at about 14 MPH with some stronger gusts.

Exactly the same along the coast in Shoreham. Temp has plateaued and has been unchanged for 2-3 hours. DP here is exactly 0c.

Temp dropping in NW London, currently 1.5c and -2c dew point. Another round of upgrades on 12z, might break 5cm! I knew i should have done my 'wfh' day tomorrow. Then again would have jinxed it..

Expect things will pep up for you guys as the evening progresses. As someone mentioned on the Mids thread, it won't continue moving east (only temporarily) but will soon pivot north west.

I have to say it's been picturesque all day, the freezing fog coated everything. Hasn't been above freezing all day, if we don't get the snow at least we had a day to remember for other reasons.

Our time will come.

No snow here as of yet, but I will update if we do.

No snow here in Three Mile Cross. The netweather radar has an issue: it's been showing some non-existent PPN ahead of the main front for quite a while.

it does upset me when people say "bingo" or "jackpot" for the south east and we still see the tip of kent (thanet) out of the equation, something I should have got used too but never will

Back in the 80s Thanet had regular snowfalls. For the last 25 or so years the temps are almost always the wrong side of marginal

There is a growing band of them that preach the Mild, Not for me too say but maybe they are nudged in that direction for Joe Publics sake, gone are the days of proper forecasts and forecasters who told it how it was in the 80's and 90's

Sad Times

Nothing to report yet from Hailsham.

For what it’s worth feels a lot colder than Tuesday night.

Yes and the sad thing is I have a friend who can get the data from UKV charts etc which he has licence too as well and that is painting a daunting picture for some locations that would blow his 5cm out of the water. Not in my neck of the woods though unfortunately, and areas with elevation obviously
