Just seen a Polar Bear walk down our street so I’m sure there’s  some snow on the way ⛄

I dont mean to be a debbie downer, but the most I am expecting is a semi cover on things like cars, some areas of grass, tops of walls etc of under 1cm, which will melt and disappear by tomorrow lunchtime lol

Best of luck Debbie

Hope you're right but to me Hirlam looks to stall the front a bit too far south for us. GFS 12z showing a greater northward progression but ppn fizzles out very quickly so we'd be lucky to see a couple of cm.

You should be okay going by the HIRLAM, albeit the further west you are the better (a dusting to a cm or two). Would caution using the mesoscale models like the GFS. The higher res models are better. However, it really is a case of radar watching now.

Well, the gritters are out in force today, on my journey home from Wanstead in east London to home, i think i counted 5 gritters...and the A2 was like a dust bowl where so much salt was being layed down,

Heads up temp here in dover is -1.2, can't see any marginality at all. Winds must turn southwesterly at some point, if it changes to rain.

Temperature down to 1.5c, with another couple of hours of dropping, should be below 1c for sure, hopefully closer to 0c to really help with the settling of the early lighter stuff. Landfall for Portsmouth will be around 5.15pm.

Incredible to see this level of PPN heading out way without much marginality temp wise.

I'm liking the way HIRLAM I handling the forward speed of the front at the moment. ARPEGE is way too slow which means we can probably safely adjust everything it shows northwards 30-50 miles. Once you do so, it starts to look very similar to HIRLAM.
