I'm not sure why there is a sudden panic on here about that METO forecast... It still looks good... The potential for streamers is massive.

The point is that they could be rainy sleety streamers, that is the problem as also mentioned by Kold weather.

Higher up inland more wet snow, but nothing special and nothing that will last.

Ya think Medway is still game? I’m losing faith rapidly today

Seems Temp and DP have plateaued after a giddy high of 5.8c and 1.1c today. Maybe just starting to slowly creep down

SE12

Yeah more or less should be close to peak now, and should be on the way down from this point onwards (though my still get one or two more peaks before we start our final drop of the day.

Are there any charts showing this potential?

So far, the GFS PARA & HIRLAM models are in sync with the MetO's snow forecast ❄️❄️

Summary:

cold with easterlies = 50%

mild with atlantic = 50%

as usual :))))

Looking forward to tonight turkishfella?

You’re not far off the Amber warning area so maybe in luck?

Yeah, why>?

I’m only getting snippets here and there, but what I’ve pieced together suggests the main band of snow will not make it far enough north or east to reach north Kent.

I hope I’m wrong. Please tell me I have got the wrong end of the stick.

And what about BBC graphics earlier showing heavy rain bands moving over Kent all tomorrow?

Could be great for east berks. But equally. We could just be on the edge of the stuff from the south and the streamers overnight. Like Tuesday....im not expecting much so it isn't seen as a bust for us. Hirlam shows us being on the edge of the heavier stuff...so will see!

Quick answer NO.. streamers are a purely wait and see situ..almost 100% nowcasters..

But some signs are there...although minimal atm.

This is what I've read today

The snow front wont make it as far as north kent

The snow front will fizzle and decay

The snow front will reach London but decay

There's a chance of Streamers

There's a risk of Streamers but it's minimal

Looks like a rain mix further east but snow further west

The front might not make it at all.

And you wonder why people get ***ed off about this forum sometimes lol

Latest BBC Weather's snow forecast is on par with the MetO and GFS PARA & HIRLAM models

Sounds reasonable to me. Hopefully given the HIRLAM has gone more aggressive and the Euro4/ECM still looking ok and not totally decaying the front like ARPEGE, it should be ok! But we will see!

Yamkin, yep  that lines up with what the more aggressive models are suggesting at the moment, so hopefully another layer of confidence on that one.

the estuary looked prime for a streamer of some sort
