I suspect this is from UKMO 00z run as in METO app this is position of front at midnight Friday.

Yep that's right.

Anyway GFS is still carrying on in the same broad direction.

ICON is the worst run thus far tonight and ha a minimal snow event. ARPEGE and AROME both have broadly the same features and timings (I think they are both part of the same suite, so not that surprising). HIRLAM isn't massively inspiring either with 2-3 hours of light-moderate snow which weakens all the time heading north.

Becoming increasingly clear the front won't make it that far beyond London/M4, though the west does do better in this regard.

I'm now awaiting to see what the UKMO has to show for its next run.

12z GFS brings snow back on Friday evening, similar to 00z EC, while the 00z and 06z showed nowt

A moderate sleet/snow mix by Heathrow.

Started to sleet, expecting it to turn to snow as we seem to be in the firing line.

Can anybody give me the latest thoughts for north Kent for tomorrow nights event? Last night was a disappointment, so I’m hoping for a little more luck this time around. Thanks gang.

Back online and caught up with last nights pages, thanks all for the lovely snowy pics! Nice to see that it delivered well for some, and that more could be coming..

I say that for those in the south of the region, the accumulations by the weekend (including snow from last night) could be above 10cm fairly widespread if the upgrades continue like they have throughout today

Looks like a great sky out there at the moment from the small patch I can see. Shame I’m stuck in the office staring at coordinates.

Being only 10 miles inland, for once, I might be in a good spot tomorrow.

I still think somewhere like Crowborough will be a sweet spot though. Always hog the snow that lot!

We did very well last night - I think we had about 5/6 cms this morning. Still got a lot of lying snow now too.
