See you on Thursday!

HAHA don't get me wrong, as soon as I wake up I'll be back here checking models for longer term and Thursday...

Maybe I'll go and stand outside in the cold rain to wake myself up a bit

Don’t be disheartened if you miss out tonight. Thursday was always the main event

Love that rain over Essex. I'm putting my efforts onto that easterly chase for Feb which will just end in tears.

GFS 18z finally gives the SE a snow spell. Still not perfect as the backend turns very marginal and also the coastal areas still struggle HOWEVER this is a mile better than the 12z run and the trend is certainly in the right direction for us.

Total model agreement on a snow spell of some sort for most in this region...

I bet places like Harvel and Vigo up from Meopham are doing well. My mum lives in Meopham, nothing much than sleet here in Old Windsor and about to fizzle out ☹️

Yes that's my daily route to work! Always do well up there! Can't believe it's actually settling on the cars now in Gravesend been heavy 100% snow since I posted lasted!

If I don’t see any flakes, I’m getting in the car and driving there! Literally 10min up the road!

I think our time is still to come in east essex, the latest gfs shows snow only just leaving the coast around 6am in the morning so looking like the band may slow down in a few hours leaving more time for lower dew points and colder 850 temps....2.5C dp1.2C here in clacton, essex

It's been fun watching from the west of the region for a change. A few sleety flakes still going past the Travelodge lamppost.

It wasn't great here, but sounds like some have had something worth seeing.

Now just looking forward to the pain of Thursday's watch...

It would turn to snow an hour after that so wouldn’t worry
