My wife has to drive back home to just outside Dorking from Kingston Uni, this evening does anyone have an idea what it's like between the two? She doesn't normally leave until after 9, with leaving early?

it can't decide if it wants to turn or not here, keeps turning almost to full snow and then back to a mix with rain again!

Getting through the levels quickly now. Moved from sleety rain to sleet. I love watching the transition

I might be on the turn as well, Think I’ve lived in Brighton too long.

I think sleet is about the best we are gonna get now.  Mainly rain on the conservatory roof, but there are flakes mixed in. Very wet.

Looking at the radar, we're getting a bit of that cooler air from across the pond. Would be nice if it links up and turns the whole SE into falling snow, but thats just me wishful thinking, probably be too slow to get here

Chucking it down with rain here in Uxbridge, so I'm off for the hike down the M25 to Surbiton. Radar is showing pink approaching, so let's see if I get snow for the journey back. I'm going in chaps, I'll report from the other side when I get there.

Well, chucking it down with rain quickly turned to chucking it down with snow before I had even left the car park, really very heavy snow that made my collision avoidance radar decide it couldn't function. From the M4 south down the M25 it became more of a 5/10 with a distinctly more sleet/wet snow feel and the temperature sticking at 2 degrees resolutely for the rest of the journey. Surbiton has wet snow now, fingers crossed it develops some more before moving on. Good luck everyone.

EDIT: It's snowing proper now, lamp post is showing lots of good-sized flakes and the garden table has a miniature covering:)

True.. It looks like we might get quite a bit - the front is moving over us very slow.
