Hate to jump on the bandwagon but... It's raining in Southend..

As Steve says, the transition should be soon and those further east (including hopefully me and Mr Sherman) should profit

Rain turned to snow in a Stevenage about 10 mins ago and is already starting to settle. Transition happened really quick and temp dropped 1c in 10 mins! Good news for those to the east of here!

Seems that there’s more precip forming behind the initial band. I was expecting this to be a narrow band getting ever thinner as it moved east. Hopefully this will work in our favour

Just wondering whether when this rain hits the East Sussex and Kent coasts... we may get snow right away... look at the direction of the wind coming off the NE of France where it is snowing near Calais and Amiens.

It feels Arctic outside and along the coast to the East it is snowing back edge from cold to NW... whereas Hants and W Sussex coast in the middle of a warmer sector perhaps.

It really feels several degrees below freezing outside right now. Would be hard to take if all we got was rain.

I am however 100m metres from the sea. 20m ASL probably. More or less on the promenade.

Reckon will do well here in Essex, might go up to the Danbury hills later if the front actually gets moving again, also noticed the front looks to be getting stronger with injection from France.

It's raining here, too...

If it weren't for constants reports (of rain, sleet & snow) from all across the region, I'd have to look at the radar!

I hardly ever post on here but I visit this forum everyday since I signed up years ago, just not as prolific as most on here (sorry for reporting rain at my location I'll stay quiet from now on)
