well even if the snow is a no show, i'll still have plenty of fun watching everyone fall over on the ice in the morning

Temp here 3.4 in Locksbottom and a slight bit of drizzle in the air. After watching PS video last night i expect a good couple hours of rain till at least 9pm and then hopefully with evap cooling and some undercutting we will hopefully have some snow from about 9.30-12.30.That's the theory just hope it works out in practice lol!!

Temperature has plummeted on the back edge. Sleety mix after the brighter echoes, which were heavy snow.

Seems to be coming together rather nicely for south of London though.

Snow finally but far too wet to settle 1c and dp -1c

Still rain here, though more sleety than before. I'm not that far from you but you've got about 90M on me, and that's making the difference. I think it'll turn to snow for me right on the back end, which at least will be nice to finally see some this winter I suppose!

Still looking decent enough for places further east of me however, especially as you have time advantage.

Did people really expect it to be all snow right of the bat?

Rain > Snow event was always, always looking like the way it was going. Many areas also now starting to report rain is turning to snow.. largely as expected. 8/9pm is when we should see more widespread reports of snow not only to higher ground but to lower levels, too. 1-3cm still widely expected by me, 5cm over higher peaks of the region.

Coastal regions? Who knows, take what you can get I suppose..

under the main front now but even with dew point less then a degrees above freezing it doesn't actually seem to be trying to change to snow yet

Was that sleety spam or proper spam?

Could be some spam on the back edge?

(That’s not a euphemism)
