Hi dose anyone know how we are looking regarding snow here on the Isle of Sheppey north kent as we have a weather warning still but yesterday the BBC weather app showed heavy snow now it just shows sleet. And I've still not given up hope of another easterly like we had here last feb/march heavy snow and night temp of - 10 we can dream

Anyone else not feeling this?

I'm never optimistic, probably why I've fallen foul of the Netweather mods in the past ;)

I'll wait until the front is over me before any form of hope is announced

when my cheesecake sugar rush wears off, I might not be feeling it. Think I'll drive home in my hi-viz so I'm feeling the danger

Apparently they have a mate who can lend them a tenner - so by my calcs that’s two bags of wilko rock salt and a filter coffee to throw at the window on the front door tomo morning

Just to add no rain or snow yet, but I’m well on my way out of London now. Reckon 6:30 it will start getting interesting but I really have my doubts we will wake up to anything resembling a winter wonderland

Heart have been shouting about the 'big freeze' and 'snow on the way' for yonks, they do it mostly for raising advertisement revenues as they know most brits love a bit of snow and will click away to find out more. Most people now are seeing right through their over hyped posts as utter rubbish! Rightly so.

Anyway, back to the here and now, interestingly, the netweather radar seems to suggest the cold is undercutting quite rapidly now with a swift change to sleet/snow - or is it just me?

5-8cms roughly from the ICON, but the big difference is the fact that its now coming down over a 3-4hrs period, so a higher rate of snowfall, especially in a sweet spot over Hampshire and into Sussex.

Tonight or Thursday?

I am sure it will snow when we all are sleeping and then melt. When we woke up tomorrow we won't see anything, I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad. Always the case!!!

That shows snow right down to the Sussex and Essex / Kent coast? Only rain for hampshire area?
