It's gonna go right to the wire this one, in terms of where the precip will fall and what actually falls... And if it does snow then are the parameters going to be right for it to settle? Squeaky bum time!

Gotta be honest, wouldn't mind a quick thaw by Saturday as I'm due to be heading into London from Folkestone for an all-dayer! Went to a party the day after last year's entertainment in early March which went OK ultimately though.

UKMO raw continues to show the northward spread across this region of some slightly more intense precipitation, and a general slow down of the system as it moves across us

I might get some depth at the top of the Orwell bridge then, thats about the best height i can get for miles around these parts.

Not looking good for us then.

Anything from 2-5 cm for you I think. Based on current models. Better for those in more Southern parts of this regional thread. Kent etc up to 10cm possibly in a few places.

Southern regions of East anglia could easily reach in excess of 20cms judging by UKMO latest PPN charts

I would consider those areas to be more South-East.

Essex/Kent seem to be the sweet spot. 10-15cms north of London

Assuming it all falls as snow and all sticks - do people not feel it will at the very least start as rain and take a while to settle ..?

What about West London?

Similar anything between 2 and 5 cm. Albeit those more southern and eastern favoured like Kent.

UKMO has less marginality.. As things stand it's going to be a complete snow event. This wetter type of snow settles a lot faster as opposed to the grainy dry snow from last March.

Once it becomes conductive of snow it will settle very quickly.

Remember you can have settling snow on wet ground..

I've seen the switch take place within 5 minutes it's quite a sight and only seen it a handful of times...

Would be nice but tempering expectation a little.

Here is our little fella moving into Cornwall @T48 on the 12z Euro4 thats just come out. Looking very good indeed, lets hope it moves east through the channel though and not SE into France. Still lots of PPN though to the north of the low so looking odds on now that most of us will see some snow on Tuesday night I would think.

All models show the actual low moving in to France. Some less deep further south those deeper further north.
