how ironic....the radar image shows the snow (pink) over essex and then as it reaches the thames estuary the whole mass turns green(rain to snow) !!

Or snow to rain?

Sunday might be better than the PPN charts are actually showing right now, ICON is also good for maybe a couple of cm's. Tuesday now looking snowy too.

That's great. Snow just started falling here in Southend. Not expecting much, but Sunday and Tuesday sounds good

How's it looking for us down here in Essex!!

Radars getting very fuzzy around the Estuary area, may just see a few flakes in the air under some dense cold clag.

Cold morning here near Heathrow. Sunny start but now overcast, interesting to see some precipitation intensifying and moving down towards London. Currently 1C with frost on many surfaces.

Indeed, everything was thick white across the surfaces this morning and as you say the skies have now resumed their milky cloudy look. A bit of surprise snow around here would be fab and at least some others in the region have seen a few flakes this morning:)

It's a decent chunk on the radar unfortunately doesn't look anywhere near big enough to create and lasting snow.

Never really do well in Medway when it comes down from the NW, really need a big pivot and easterly flow to get a decent covering.

Dropped to minus 2.8c in Manston.

Currently 0.0c

Yeah it's probably because I'm using the Broadstairs station (Working there) which is on the coast, with a slight sea influence.

I wouldn't worry, this is just a flutter, still looking into next week for any real risk of settling snow.

Would be very nice ?? I’m still excited about the snowfall here on Tuesday afternoon/evening, it’s been many years since I’ve seen snowflakes that huge and it settled on all surfaces. Have seen a couple of very heavy snow showers in Prague since moving there, too. Lovely.

The line of showers crossing London is falling as rain in SE12
