Heavy ish snow started on my walk home in Bromley, an incredible feeling difference in temperature just in the 20 minutes. No settling, but with cold temperatures coming and, if this supposed pep up is coming again, if something heavier comes could see some...

Beautiful fat falling flakes here in Ashtead (nr Epsom)!!! I might have to be taking a trip up to the Downs or Boxhill tomorrow morning!xx

As far as I can see there is no snow in the Box Hill neck of the woods (although it’s now quite dark so it may have started falling!)

Running the radar loop and looking at wind obs, definitely a meso low formed over/to west of west London within the trough rain/sleet/snow band moving through our region, seems to be pumping up the precip rates on the western side of the 'low' as it hooks in.

Still rain/sleet with a few wet snow flakes mixed in occasionally here near Croydon.

Wow, very heavy snow here in Englefield Green, covering even on roads now and it’s still coming down

If the front is slowing down, it may explain why it's still dry here.

Yes I noticed that too - can clearly see the band running NW-SE to the north of London is now lifting northwards, almost as if it's taking on a frontal structure.  Interesting feature to say the least!

It seems to have developed a dryer slot, and I don’t like where it’s heading lol

Huge snow flakes ......upto 3cm diameter ....where they are sticking together. Still fairly intense and now settling on pavements and trying to settle on roads. I suspect that the higher parts of the Chilterns will now have quite a cover. Here in Hemel all looks white....about 1.5 cm on the grass and roofs. Not sure how long it will last!!

Bigger flakes now in Chingford. Turning a bit heavier.
