Sleety rain just moved through here on the western edge of the region, looks like sleet is the main order of these showers, but further east the extra 1-2hrs of cooling may just make the difference.

Here, precip just never got heavy enough to drag the snow level down, like it has with some of the areas that have had snow.

It sleeted for a total of 2 minutes on Oxford Street lol.

Not really worth waiting 8 months for.

That was London's winter roll on spring

Completely white ground here at school now. Everyone’s speculating if school will be called off tomorrow! (As it standard for people down here)

Latest GFS Precip update looks promising - precip certainly forecast to be more potent, even the snow depth forecast looks good for EA/South East with a few CM's in places. Not sure how accurate this will be though - probably not very!

Fax for 6am tomorrow morning shows that low forming over east English Channel stalling for a time over far north of France tomorrow morning, back-bent occlusion could bring in some sleet or snow back in across Kent and maybe Essex/Suffolk coastal areas

12z GFS seems furthest west with the precipitaion

Radar says precipitation falling. At the surface nowt. Ah well, I’ll take any evaporative cooling on offer

Surrey does do well with marginal snow events junction 12 and 13 of M25 were a winter wonderland J11 just wet ground goes to show how marginal it is. Glad I saw some heavy snow though on the A4 then between Uxbridge and Staines❄?☃️

Quite heavy snow for the past 30 minutes or so at Watford, large flakes, settling, approx 1cm - temp +0.8 humidity 90%. First snow I've seen this winter.

Strange - NW Europe radar shows rain, not snow,
