Looks to me the more North option on that little feature is correct..

Also note the wrapping around of the PPN behind the main band taking place West of Reading.. . As you say filling the gap over Swindon..

 

And now the Arpege and HIRLAM have sided with the more northerly option.. Good for guys out East!

 

Another very heavy pulse coming in to Reading better chances of more setteling now temps are lower

Just remembered it was supposed to snow at rush hour, so had a quick look out the back door at work here in Croydon, then straight onto the SE thread for updates of course! Nothing here yet...

Temp down from 4.7ºc (dp 4.3ºc) half an hour ago, to temperature now of 3.3ºc and dewpoint of 2.3ºc with wet snow.

Temperature and dewpoint down to 3.8C and -1.2C, and dropping fast now.

Feeling hopeful for SE London (Blackheath/Eltham)

Sunset in 25 minutes!

Pretty decent actually that wrap around is really pepping up and will hopefully aid in a better covering because temps are falling away now... 

Hopefully it can drag south a touch more for a few others... Reading about to get hammered again... This time higher settling rate I think

It sleeted for a total of 2 minutes on Oxford Street lol. 

 

Not really worth waiting 8 months for.
