Some snow grains falling here walking through park from school run in south London on the back edge of the showers passing south, started off rain/sleet.

Long time no post (I read a lot though!).  We had some lovely flakes in lower Gillingham, lasted about three minutes then gone.

Just had a light flurry and it's now stopped. I think this is all we can really expect for today. better chance looks to be Saturday for our region.

I dropped the kids off, it was 5 degrees and very grey. I had to go and do some shoe shopping so I decided to go to Ashford on the way there it started to rain the temperature dropped to 4 then it dropped to 3 and then it started to sleet when I arrived it was snowing and 2 degrees, just goes to show how fast things can change especially when it comes to snow.  P.S mod thread are happy this morning

as usual, the band of precipitation is totally missing  Thanet on the radar, could somebody explain this as we seem to need our own weather forecast and it happens quite frequently, is it possibly because we are surrounded by water on three sides ?

So nice to have crisp clear blue skies, the sun and noticeable chill in the air compared to past weeks of anticyclonic gloom and 10C!

Lovely sunshine in central London now (not sure if any flakes fell earlier, as I was in a meeting).  I am just happy to see blue skies and sunshine for what feels like the first time in weeks.  Fingers crossed for snow next week, however, I do get anxious about the commute home from work (I don't care if I can't get in!!)

It is very sunny today. It began approximately 9:30 am.  The clouds have been gradually dissipating and the sky is 95% clear. There is a beautiful blue sky now at 10:44.

Earlier on in the morning at 8.15 am, there was a heavy shower of rain (but it sounded more like hail).  It could have been ice rain.
