The sky has been clouded over since 3pm. The temperature is 3°C along with light winds of 4 mph and gusts of 15 coming from a North North East direction.

Latest BBC weather forecast seems at variance with the Netweather forecast and the model forum satelite projections...the BBC is not showing the same cold forecasts....confusing!

I'd actually say the ecm looks worse for 'potential' post day 10 the last few days than what it did back in earlyish December - but of course a few in the MAD thread will tell you otherwise and to look at the Hemisphere profile (only due to the SSW implications).

Again another cloudy morning where the sky is covered with stratus clouds.  The temperature is 4°C but it feels more like 2°C. The barometer pressure is falling.

It is supposed to be sunny but I cannot see any sign of the sun.

The temperature is 5°C but feels more like  and the sky is still overcast.

There's a nip to that air. Just in time for the start of the school run.

Always love the it's gonna snow  then it says 'up north' - unless i'm going to get a snow day , not interested.

Looks like sleet is a high possibility in the coming weeks I hope the councils have their sqaaads (as benitez would say), ready to bring out the sleet ploughs

Saw a picture from Italy earlier which had 15 foot drifts down roads, Incredible to think all we have had in the Tropical part of Essex this winter is a few flakes of snow floating around on the breeze in Late November. And only 1 scraping of frost from the car.

Cannot wait to get my snow fix in March when me and the other half are going to Norway for 2 days and Abisko in Sweden for 2 days. They currently have around 50cm of snow at Abisko but temps there are very warm at around -2c when it should be around -10c. Tromso is even worse at +2c today. SSW Affecting them as well it would seem

Good luck over the next few weeks everyone in the SE

Daily express hasn't come out with a snow headline which means you will probably see snow here before march
