Well its a wet dreary Saturday. 4c. As expected. Looks like folk up north aren't getting much in the way of snow either.

It's all gone super dupery doo

I asked him if he could go up on the roof of my house and shake his head a bit, and I got what looked like a bit of sleet coming down so I'm happy now.:oldgood::oldlaugh:

Snow didn't last that long in Eastbourne though there was some heavier bursts. It's just cold rain now. Temp is 2.9c :cold:

Kinda yup, sort of like the yellow rain that comes up from the Sahara sometimes.

Hey you should try it sometime Lass if you can find someone with really bad dandruff. Check out your goats, they can get really flakey skin, in fact it might look even more like snow with all the fluff and that.

Would they go up on the roof though, you could tempt them up there with some of your bounty bars maybe?:oldgood:

A flakey goat...........

Temp peaked @2c

now down to 1.1c !

Could we get something from the heavier stuff thats just to the west of London Steve, temps are still pretty low in the area, a bit of evap cooling coming into play possibly? I know its strange but some of the models show it turned back to snow for a while.

I checked parameters

6pm-8pm we get the cold 'overcut' which is very unusual where cold upper air replaces the milder upper air in the melt layer -

Back edge flakes & snow might be nice- still hovering between 1.1 & 1.3 here

WKingsdown probs about 0.8 ish-

Going out soon will head back via the tops about 430-5 to see if any changeover -

Well Leeds in Yorkshire is still at -1c at 15.00 but showing as rain, must be the freezing rain that was forecast...really strange day.

Wish this warm nose in the atmosphere would clear off and give us all some snow,a few degrees above freezing at ground level and still it rains,oh well that's the British isles for you.

It's all about altitude, if we had a few decent hills in the SE it would make a big difference, like 500-700m, it's not that high really but would suffice. The highest point in Kent is only apx 250m.

Heavy rain in Reigate in the Surrey Hills. Temperature and dewpoint still rising; 2.8c and 2c respectively.  Foul out.  Log burner going nicely.

Probably still is snow high up but it's at ground level where it's most welcome.Blimey wind has ramped up a few notches now, still raining though.
