Overall CET was 5.86C for winter 2018/19, then.  Very mild but I had the deepest snow since 2010/11 which lasted 3 days, so I count myself as very lucky!

It was kind of similar I thought to Winter 2006/07. That Winter was also a frustratingly mild one but for the saving grace of that short lived snowy spell early in the February. Although that one was better for much more of the country including here.

Although we did get a short lived and thin covering of snow the week before the big event in the south here, so not totally disastrous of course.

So for here I would say it was a bit worse than 2006/07 but for anywhere who was lucky enough to have received that dumping at the end of January it must have been on a par if not better.

Oh yes, I forgot about winter 2006/07.  It was similar in some ways being very mild overall, but with a moderate snowfall in late January 2007 and a more substantial fall on the 8th February.  However, most of the snow had disappeared by the end of the day on both occasions.  I think I agree that 2006/07 was better for the majority of the country (including where I lived at the time) compared to 2018/19, but for the west country, I would have thought 2018/19 was far better?

This was my winter a shower of soft hail and grapel on the 1st of feb. Lasted in the shade for a day or 2. That was as good as it got for me. The way I see it i didn't get a winter this yr. Winter 2018/19 Was cancelled!

Wonderful February. Forgettable December and January (with the exception of 5-10cm of snow in January that lasted 2 days).

2006/07 chalk and cheese to this winter as far as opposites attract as this winter was dominated by HP mostly all placed in the wrong area setting mild dry SWlys over seemed like for 3 weeks around Christmas, and this February the longest winter euro high in living memory setting up the all time warm air from africa well established over the country.

2006/07 gave on the other hand gave record long lasting SWlys for by far the wettest on record in the NW and raging zonality in January with 2 fierce storms.

This winter has been very calm to that one and very dry.

Yes otherwise this years snow lasted longer to then, had to get 1 foot of snow then which we had but this years 2 inches of snow lasted longer thanks to that Sly tracking jet for that week, also had the same low min of -5.7c to then.

A poor winter for snow and cold weather, but not terrible. Not as mild as the winter 13/14 or 15/16 and no where near as wet. I would rate it 3 out of 10. The second half of January was reasonable, with a few light snowfalls, and some decent frosts, and we managed an ice day on the 31 Jan, and nearly one on the 30 Jan.

We were not far off recording a notably cold one, but the pattern set up poorly, a 3 week omega block end Dec into Jan, set up all wrong for cold, and again last half of February.

Another exceptionally benign winter, no major storms or rainfall events.

hhmmmm....going by the 1981-10 series skew's the figures somewhat e.g. 2008/09 would have have not be anywhere near -3.1 going by the 61-90 series, probably from the millennium the series is more applicable.
