I will absolutely see snow this winter, I have never had a winter in my lifetime where I haven't seen snow, and I would doubt whether my current location has ever experienced a winter where not one flake has fallen.

  • Thanks 1

I think my closest were 1988-1989, 1992-1993 (Birmingham), 2007-2008 (Castlefield), 2008-2009 (Salford) and 2013-14 (Saddleworth), there were probably some others in Birmingham between 1998 and 2007 also but I had given up by then, most contained a few 1 inch falls but the max I had in 1 fall in those years was 2 inchest).

Will reopen this in a couple of weeks as it's probably a month too early for air frosts in most places, never mind snow.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
