I was suspecting 2012 after I said that most of the rain came in 1 day that month 2.7inches a record.

Ah yes the Child of Nadine. Most significant flooding event here in the 2010s. Also had flash floods on 14th September 2015 after very intense rain in the afternoon.

Dry sunny September followed by a mild/wet first half of October and a cool/dry second half, leading into a cool/crisp yet sunny first half of November and ending with a cold second half, with some snow in places.

That would be perfect IMO.

Lots of very mild to warm weather, with good sunny spells, lasting until mid-November and followed by a swift change to cold, snowy stuff...
