Awake. A decent covering here on the Fylde! It’s Narnia out there!

Covering and Fylde don’t go together in the same sentence!

I’ve seen the charts.

This LP is seriously playing  with people’s heads.

A fiiiine covering outside, but not as much as other places, I suspect. Nice to see though

Just woke up. A complete covering here and moderate snow falling. Looks to be a decent streamer set up.

You have way more knowledge than me.

You tell me.

2 sliders last year. Missed em both then about 6 yrs ago under an amber warning only for it to take a southerly track at last minute and miss me. Everyone else 10-15cm

To be honest this general area seems to do far better from streamers than low pressure systems anyway, they either dive south over the midlands or don't get far enough north from the south. Let's hope for decent shower activity today. Could in theory get a couple of inches maybe more from these showers now.

A nice covering this morning and coming down nicely. Just hope the showers can continue for a bit longer!

Now snowing heavily with a lovely orange glow to the sky. Hardly a breath of wind out there.

South Manchester does very well out of these set ups, generally better than most frontal snow events which tend to be damp squibs.

Nice train of showers coming in and looking like intensity is higher than current moderate snow falling.

Can't wait to see the little ones reactions, they barely see snow.

Snowing pretty moderately again here. After yesterdays Chaos with overturned cars not even taxis can make it to my street now. Turned out a pretty good spell after such a poor half to winter.

I don't know mate. There's really no reason why the system should shear as much as it is predicted to do. Yes cold air is denser and drier but I would say the cold air encroaching from the N is not deep cold enough to promote what we're seeing in the model output.

Some funny things going on with the weather for sure...lack of thunderstorms in summer, snow in winter...it's grim.

That's true, at least last year there was extreme established cold and a great big block of hp, not so much this time

Should change later on one would think, if not maybe a bit of hope

I wouldn’t get too excited yet. They’re still unsure how far north it go so just covering a wide area.

Guess it'll be low likelihood/high impact. So probs not going to happen.

Back today, streamer seems to be extending northwards, could bring more of Lancashire into play.
