On saddleworth above greenfield and it's snowing very heavy. Everywhere except the roads are white.

Just turned to snow - Manchester City Centre. Will probably revert back to sleet/rain if the precipitation loses its intensity, it's that sort of day.

I'm not sure why anyone's surprised by rain/sleet today - this was always going to be the case for most, the colder air isn't due until later. Fingers crossed for Irish Sea showers when it's properly cold - these still look likely for some.

Drove up to moorside and its stayed as snow up there but not accumulating but the temp was on its way down again back to 0.

 

Down in Oldham 30mins later and the sleety snow is now just snow and its getting whiter out there

snow here now, i really really cant see it sticking i know its not impossible but everywhere is soaking.

Got to say this front could definately produce for those further southwards and eastwards in the region especially with the increasing reports of the PPN turning wintry and actual snow falling for some areas like Manchester.

Heavy snow here for the past 2 hours but none sticking until now. Temp has dropped half a degree and cars, pavements and roofs turning white. Still a few hours of this to go too by the looks of things. Anyone north or east of here above 150m should soon be getting the same.

Nothing settled in Darwen town centre . But the west Pennines are White.

Yes - usually follow the Gritter - Ploughs up  over and down to Patterdale,
