hmm that might have something to do with that special brew you're drinking

There are showers incoming, significant ones, that would bring about a fresh covering, most likely.

My parents always said that the snowstorm in 1940 possibly January but not sure was heavier here than anything in either 47 or 63.

a hell of a statement to make given the mythical like status those 2 have reached but aparantly the level snow was over 3 feet deep.

big question is would it have warranted a Met O amber warning or being up here, would a yellow have been enough

People were more tougher back in the day. 3 feet of level snow is some feat.

Kids get sent home from school now for 2cm

Yeah they are mate, they look great just off shore then vanish into thin air. Waste of time this.

The forecast is spot on.

May have been something else going on in 1940 as well. Can’t remember what but my dad mentioned something once.

He also did talk about the 1940 and 1941 winter as he had just started his gardening apprenticeship at the age of 14.

Don't like these new white lamposts. Heavy snow at the moment but the light from the lampost barely shows it.

Never seen a shower split like this leaving a thin sliver of precipitation onshore.
