Sunday looks rubbish to me atm. Freezing level too high and not enough cold air in the boundary layer. Can and will change though. Good for the usual suspects anyway.

These are the events that i sometimes do well on initially (2-5cm) then all melts the next within 12 hours.

Where you are, yes, 90% of the time, the freezing level is too high. Even at 150m for me on Tuesday, the level was about 80-90m up where the snowline started.

Blue skies sunshine and nothing else here. All melted as well; What there was.

I think that's also applicable to supposed new negotiations with the EU too.

Hola from gran canaria.

Is the snowcover in Manchester holding on or melting? I hope there is some left on the ground by the time I return tomorrow.

IIt will be very cold across the region tonight. Probably the coldest night of the season I guess.

East Manchester still has cover, but I doubt there will be any in the city centre.

Still a good coating in Macclesfield. Absolute blizzard just after 7am this morning, probably an inch in the town centre now.

Thanks. I am definately going to the pennines for a walk this weekend.

I hope the cold spell persists though February.

I doubt there is much left in the city centre but plenty left here.

We had a really heavy fall - over 10cm.

There is some melting today but it’ll all refreeze tonight.

Tomorrow morning will be a nightmare, but because of ice, not snow.
