How come we can like everybody else's posts apart from your's? The option doesn't come up on your posts

Long story - not allowed to use reactions/sticky notes/messages, side effect no-one can react to my posts.

Also that shower is anaprop.

Onshore wind ?

Probably contributing but then Crosby and Blackpool which are right on the Irish sea coast are cooler at 4 and 3. I don't know how this location does it. I expect nothing and it still manages to disappoint.

I don't think so sadly. The Euro4 looks north Cheshire and Manchester.  Obviously I'm hoping the MetO is correct but am preparing for no showers tonight.

Yes further South looks drier through the night and early hours but the showers will likely move further South through the morning before slowly dying out.

Trouble is showers are hit and miss by their very nature, even if we are in the firing line, but hopefully you will get at least a dusting in the morning from one penetrating far enough SE.

I'm interested in this feature that has developed just off the Hebrides... looks like shower activity is beginning to show some signs of rotation. I haven't noticed this on the models previously... (may have just missed it) Will be watching its development and trajectory over the next hour or so.

It was on a model yesterday looks like a polar low to me

In the south, closer to the airport which is what I am using for observations.

Just watched the latest Met Office video forecast and the low looked a tad further North by Thurs eve.

Oh right well sometimes airports can be slightly warmer than the surroundings. 2.8°C here on the coast. Keep the faith, still think it’s looking good.

Tonight’s ECM shows the front struggling to reach the far south midlands. I’d be looking at that chart and ploughing an entire council truck worth of salt all over it.

That front won’t make it further north than Birmingham.

I have that feeling too. Fingers crossed though.
