It’s not cold enough. 2.6C, DP well above freezing. It’s got some dropping to do! Front died a death here. It’s stopped.

Cloud and dry here after a period of rain that was not worthy enough to be called sleet.

Disappointed as always but pretty chuffed I got this forecast nailed IMBY.

I don't think anyone expected you to get snow from the main band, snow from the showers tonight is your interest point.

What's your elevation anyway?

Sea level. No indication of anything coming our way this evening, or indeed, in the near future.

Rain turned to wet snow right on the coast

Well you saying you won't get snow is going to be right 99% of the time then, as will @C11ady saying that it will probably snow in Buxton.

Still snowing moderately here. A light covering on all surfaces, including slushy covering on the road so far. Hopefully provides a nice base for the showers to follow overnight.

Intensity has dropped so back to rain/sleet

Back home work... not the most thrilling of wintry days in the OL8 area of Oldham... although I expect it will be better up on higher ground.   We've had non stop snow but it's very wet and slushy...a covering in favoured places & the untreated side roads will become treacherously icy overnight.

Doesn’t look like there are going to be any showers tonight ☹️

Main band seems to be fizzling out here. Hopefully the showers later will be frequent and heavy to give a better covering to the light one we have now.

Best snow of the day so far, temp has started to drop now.

Same here. It was huge 50p flakes at lunch, but very wet snow. Now its moderate dry snow falling, things turning whiter!

I feared that .... but the fax chart doesn't really tie in with the forecasts - for here at least Its a case of wait and see.

I’m no longer feeling confident about later. I’m currently under a heavy shower behind the front and it’s still sleet. The snowflakes are really wet. The cold air is here now. And this is the best it can do

Sticking level seems to be about 100m.  Sticking OK in Macc and slushy on roads. Wetter down here on the A34 corridor but some on grass. 0.4c light/moderate snow. Could be really entertaining if it freezes.
