It's simply not seeing any showers for tonight, maybe to much of a northerly element

Latest metoffice video forecast shows loads of snow showers packing in overnight and first thing in the morning across Cheshire, Merseyside, South Lancs and Greater Manchester at least

Latest fax shows at least two troughs following the cold front. I presume these will be enhancing shower activity overnight.

BBC Thursday LP has a lot of N correction to do.

4 or 5cm so far. Not bad considering at 10 this morning it looked more like a washout than a whiteout. Bit more still to come looking at the radar.

It does but there is a positive update from the Met Office still stating potentially disruptive snow Thurs. Still not out of this yet.

It's low likelihood medium impact though.

We need to be very lucky for that to get far enough north for us. We need a polar low from a north westerly or an easterly to give us what most of us would be happy with for the next 10 years or so.

Still coming down nicely, around 3cm so far on the grass. Roads are fine though if slushy, through Uppermill.

Back home and there's a covering on favoured surfaces. Not on the concrete drive though.
