As has been said please don’t have any expectations of seeing anything from this front unless you live up a big hill inland. To give some perspective, 850s are around -4 now or slightly higher. They drop to -6 behind this front and reach -8 by around 9 pm.

It will be interesting to see if the existing snow cover modifies the lower atmosphere to allow said white stuff to make it lower than the mentioned 200m threshold

 Big upgrade on BBC app for me. Shows heavy snow showers all night and all morning tomorrow. The apps are really accurate and should always be trusted
