Took a peek outside expecting to see clear skies and instead i'm looking at heavy snow with 1cm covering across the surfaces. Wasn't expecting that tonight.

Has been snowing here, despite my earlier report of freezing rain.

How cruel, you're about 1 mile away and all I had was heavy sleety rain

Don’t worry we will get snow tomorrow. We just have to wait till after late afternoon. We should get the heaviest showers at any rate.

18z GFS

Again there are differences between the op and the parallel run with the latter more bullish for snow with a keener westerly wind.
