I pray it comes true

Looks too good to be true. It's crazy to think it's less than 48 hrs away yet changing so much. If only!!!!!

Possibly because its a built up area, the city is always a bit less cold and its a bit marginal i suppose?Could be that one degree difference i guess..

I hope that Euro4 accumulation chart happens. If it's organised from the front I can see a chance. If it's from showers from the northwest then I can't (unless the conditions are just right.) That's the challenge for accumulating snow from the northwest, in the low lying/coastal northwest. So often it's showers where any accumulating snow melts inbetween like last week (which I still really enjoyed.) I reckon that this is from the cold front, it'd just be nice to have some snow on the ground before it goes dark rather than it all ruddy melting.

Just confirmed my humidity sensor is definitely not wreading right. Thought it was reading too high after the last snow event and definitely about 15% too high now. Have to try and fix it, need an accurate dp for reporting next week. I’ll bring it inside for a bit.

That does look more bullish than the last failed event. I think we have a better chance of substantial snow this time around.

That will do nicely. Im not bothered at this stage what amount we get, our winter's been that bad... just to see falling snow will do. Edit  Christ didn't realise that chart had been posted do many times.haha.

Existing warnings based on old information now. Warnings will be updated around 11.00. Warning area may be extended NW, if latest Euro4 is to be believed:

Hopefully not the case. Euro4 not always correct....I notice the metoffice text forecast now mentions rain, sleet and snow in the general regional forecast. Sounds a bit marginal for many. We will have to see what the updated warnings say later.

Upper air temps look fine on Euro4 tomorrow afternoon/evening at around -7c or -8c. However, potentially slightly positive dew point temps in parts which may explain the forecast rain, sleet, snow mix. Only one model though. Others are available...

I think in Manchester at least we’ll start off with heavy rain tomorrow, snow probably by evening rush hour.

Personally I’m more interested in the showers which are likely to follow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. . At which point it’ll be properly cold...
