Anyway first "proper snow" of the winter. Nothing marginal about this, main road out front covered deep enough to see tyre tracks in it. Radar looks to have more behind as well.

Sleet now. Falling on frozen surface with a little added snow cover; which won’t be around long if this keeps up

 I’m thinking maybe there is a slight warm inversion just above the surface hence  ice pellets on the front edge of the last shower.
