I can see on the radar now the organised band of showers predicted for the late morning slot.  I'm not expecting anything too drastic today..think that will be reserved to the very highest ground....but at least it's a 'wintry' feeling day following on from the mild, grey and gloom we've had so far this winter.

Hand on heart Joe i dont think you have enough altitude.. i'm not convinced i have TBH..

we'll see, i'm off to bed shortly - i'm 50/50 whether it will be plain old wet concrete when i wake up..

You and your altitude

UKV shows no precipitation whatsoever now after 5pm, it’s not altitude that looks to be the issue.

Same here looking at the radar looks like it will be two waves of showers

Not for me I’m missing all of the showers ATM.

Edit I think there is one about to come now.

Moderate sleet here in south cheshire.

My intrest is later when the flow switches to more NW.

Even Carol gave cheshie a mention this morning saying the snow showers will clump together to give a covering

@Day 10 beet me to it

Yes sleet is turning to snow in Manchester City Centre.

Cold air drag down. The bigger the shower, the more it cools. If a streamer organises, that will give huge falls.
