The rain has become quite heavy over the past hour or so, but nothing sleety about it just yet - clearance not expected until around midnight, but temperatures will start dropping now, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some wet sleety snow on the very back edge. Overnight heavy sleet/snow showers should start to track into the Lake District, and I will be very surprised if by this time tomorrow we don't have a white mantle coating everything - but the question will be whether the mantle is 1 cms, or 10 cms...

3.3c here in the marginal belt, surprisingly some sleet and wet snow in the wind. Could have chance later.

I must say those that  are already around 3°C with a wintry mix now are going to do well from this back edge.

Raining hard in Mold in the Clwydians. Hoping the height will lead to snowier stuff by the morning. No way it’s going to stop the commute to Birkenhead.

Peeeeeeing down here so it’s looking like back edge snow or nothing, at least until tomorrow’s showers get going.

Are we all missing something with absolutely no snow warning from the Met Office?
