Same here, but I think when they say this they mean from the Northwest so Scotland/Ireland (at least first anyway).

Saying North West usually means of the British Isles so it’s a damn large area and my guess is the sweet spots being NW Scotland and N Ireland.

but it’s nice to hear and when it comes to snow, certainly better than hearing South East

MO update has removed East coast showers and gone for a more north/NEly.

Flip flopping all over the place.

Guttted Tuesday isn’t all snow!

Hilarious stuff on the MOD thread as the predicted easterly seems to be collapsing! Got the popcorn out, the amount of times I have seen this over the last 15 years is hilarious, don't know why people get so carried away with it!

Yes, but that's one day followed by a gradual rise in temperatures from Wednesday. Up to yesterday we were looking at snow for Tuesday followed by a protracted cold spell.

This is the biggest fiasco since the December 2012 failed easterly! At least we will not miss out anything significant by the looks of things.

I don't see your point? Make take is Tuesday looks good and then cold spell is delayed.

People are saying game over and all that c.r.a.p. Feb has produced brutal cold spells in the past and will do again in the future, and with the atmosphere as it is after the SWW amongst other factors I still see a proper cold spell coming. I also see it more from the North than the east, so was the easterly ever real so to speak???

I can't see where I mentioned anything about February. Of course the cold can be delayed and come end of the month or February but as for next week it is a massive downgrade. Surely you must be able to see that if you check the charts from 24 hours ago.

There is nothing better than snow that settles and then the freeze sets in. This is not looking likely for next week anymore.
