GFS showing rain on the front of the band for Tuesday.

Maybe showers behind it that would more likely be snow.

Whether it's snow in Wales is a bit useless to us

Ha ha, well its an indicator of whats coming in. Plus I used to live in Manchester for 30 years and was myself interested in conditions further west when a band was coming in.

Always good to get reports on the ground from upwind. Keep them coming. Lots more opportunities in the next few weeks.

Low dew points and higher ground is the key today for snow. If the ppn is heavy enough it may turn to snow for a brief period at sea level.

Not even a bit of drizzle.

Interesting information regardless, your Yorkshire friends are watching for the updates.

Yep supposed to be doing something here but it isn’t. On the other hand if precip is evaporating before it reaches the ground that will slow the temp rise.

Temp plateaued out at 1.9°C; DP -0.2°C. Still just conducive.

Anyone who benefits from a NW flow should be happy with the GFS back edge snow

Followed by heavy snow showers (thinking imby here Cheshire Gap)

I'm just inside the west edge of that but i doubt i'll be high enough to sustain all snow, i expect to see a mixture.

In any case 2 minutes up the road is 300m+ so i think i'll be going for a drive this afternoon
