Yep no precipitation yet. The later it hits the less wintery it will be so I wish it would get a move on.  Didn’t realise it had been named but suppose it was always going to be with an amber .

Gutted was in Edinburgh 2 weeks ago and now they gonna get pasted.

Painfully slow progress looking at the radar but at least I should be able to get out to the shops and back before we get completely cut off..........probably a slight exageration but black ice and the hills around here make for some interesting driving conditions.

Good job you’re playing at Wembley today; I would fancy that game would be called off otherwise.

Im in Glasgow and can report light snow flurries falling for past few hours and looking towards Northern Ireland it seems good part of Central belt could be in for a pasring. Could get nasty around here midday onwards. Have a good day

Nowt for us today I imagine, but at least we’re not at home as it’ll be damned cold sat on the Turf today.

as you said though a good chance of games being called off if only because of fan safety.

It really needs to get a move on otherwise there won’t be enough sub-freezing air left; unless the inversion is coming in slower as well.

I don't think pace is important since surface winds are east of south in front regardless. It is the front that marks the boundary and pushes back.

The more its delayed, the more the front may be occluded and that's a positive for most.

That’s good to hear. I did see some talk in the Midlands thread about some models occluding  the fronts earlier/further south. Let’s see what happens.

Horrendous stuff that.

But setting off for Grasmere soon - might even get a parking spot? - nothing too adventurous as the wind is too strong maybe Easdale and Belles Knott looking toward the Pavey Ark and Langdale valley.

Saved from hours of freezing rain. I'd take that chart as a positive! That will be the reality for most rather than accumulating snow I imagine. I'd rather have plain old rain, although thankfully the hills will gobble most of that up where I am I expect.

I'm just in the Amber zone for the freezing rain. I'll have to check if Stalyvegas is though.

Edit:  Yes it is.

Just inside, but really doubt there will be much precipitation here anyway.

Mate honestly.. west of the m6 is about as bad as it gets if you like snow.

Only real hope for my location is easterlies.. and the pennine areas like here tend to gollop all the precip as we saw in march.
