Aye from here it’s downhill all the way, even the stream at the bottom of my garden ends up in Manchester.

Just a shame I can’t go by canoe as the M66 is a nightmare most of the time.

Lol  66 been a nightmare  getting into manchester  lately  with roadworks  I'm there 2 times a week on average

Occasionally my missus goes that way to work rather than the usual Rochdale way and it can often take her an hour to do a 16 mile journey.

a bloody stage coach could have done that journey in less time.

Murr fart most likley

In all seriousness at risk of putting the curse on it; some of these synoptics really do have a feel of 2009/10. What was that like over here? I was living the other side of the pennines  at the time, and that was when I first truly understood what "heavy snow" was, a repeat of that would be pretty cool.

Another day of wall to wall crap but as Di Ox would love to say, at least it was mild.

Taken to Whitehaven GH

Would probably have been a sea king, they often refuelled there.

Different day but same old light drizzly crap.

Can’t speak for others but up here at least it’s been a complete right off of a weekend.

maybe time to sort the Christmas decorations out, stick a festive film or two on and dream of snow.

The type of weather that gives our winters a bad name. I went out for a short 15-20 mile bike ride, and it was pretty grim. Cold & crisp is what I want....

Wet early morning but cleared to give fine and breezy afternoon.  Currently having seriously beefy showers but no sign of thunder/lightning.

Seems like play and repeat at the moment... lots of heavy morning rain, and now a clearance from the west.  Rest of the day should be okay, but absolute filth on it's way for most days this week, and a nasty low at the weekend possibly.... then...just maybe.... a little quieter...but don't count on it.  The Atlantic can scuttle away any wintry block in a jiffy.

Some sferics in the Irish sea but nothing for a while. Shame I will miss out on a frost tonight as the winds are only backing during the day tomorrow now. Maybe Thursday.
