Not ideal weather for shed roof repairing but it’s done now and what bit of snow I had has now pretty much disappeared but as others have said, not bad for October and certainly a complete opposite for the warm conditions of last year.

anyway we’re off to Liverpool for a long weekend shortly so hopefully tomorrow’s North Eastely can bring some cold sunny conditions to be out and about in.

Frosty this morning and the models suggests a stormy outlook next weekend. If it verifies by Thursday I'd be looking forward to it!! :)

At least its more interesting then being in the calm, sunny and boring weather.

Down to 0.9°C here now, pretty good for October.Well below the forecasts for this time but that’s not surprising  to me as we have an off-shore wind.

It is now -0.1°C. Unless I’m very much mistaken this is the first air frost here that I can remember in October.  Certainly the first since I started keeping records five years ago.

The winter season 2018–19 off to a great start here.

-1.4°C was the minimum here, impressive. A bit lower at the official station on the beach.

-2 at 6am this morning.

after a fantastic summer, I’m hoping for a bitter winter.

Looking for something from the North East & East please.

North westerlies don’t float my boat.

Yes north westerlys are crap. Usually only a few hours of slushy snow. Give me a beast from the east any day.

I now have asecond consecutive air frost. Extraordinary.

Last winter I had 16 days with snow falling, 8 days with snow lying.   More than the last 5 years put together. Anything near that again will be welcome.
